One question we continue to receive always is about how often should beard oil be applied without using it excessively. The simple and straightforward answer is that you can use beard oil as much as you like or as much as your beard demands. Beard oil is a beard conditioner that should be used often to keep your facial hair hydrated, soft, and looking gorgeous. Beard oils are usually made from natural ingredients and this helps the skin at the hair root, by getting rid of dreaded beard dandruff, itchiness, and irritation.
So, how often should you apply beard oil in an appropriate manner? Actually, the answer to this question varies from individual to individual because people are different. Applying little oil might leave your beard feeling a little dry, and too much will feel greasy.
A worthy of note success route to growing a jealousy-inciting beard is routinely using high-quality beard oil that helps provide the proper vitamins and nutrients to your beard.
Are you waiting until your beard is fully grown to use oil? Unbelievable! You’re really missing out. You want to use it early, and not just early, often. Beards grow best when the skin beneath them is moisturized, nourished and healthy. As soon as you decide to take the step, to join the bearded, start applying a few drops to your face every day. You’ll be amazed at how much softer and healthier your beard will be as it grows. Your beard will be less brittle and itchy because the skin is being properly cared for.
How Much Beard Oil Should I Use?
Overtime, there will be a noticeable change in the length and fullness of your beard. The length and thickness of it will determine how much Beard Oil you really need to use. With the use of a high-quality, natural Beard Oil like ours, little goes a long way. In general, the average beard requires 3-5 drops a day. Using too much beard oil might make your beard look messy and less attractive. In everything we do, moderation is the key.
How Long Do You Leave Beard Oil In?
The environment really determines how long beard oil should be left before reapplying. Some people spend most of their time outside in the sun or cold, which will make the oil get off very fast while others work indoors in more balanced environments. All these factors can play an important role in how much or often you need to use beard oil in a day. For the average population, if the beard oil purchased is of high quality, you only need to apply once a day to give the hair to get it in shape for the day.
How Do You Apply Beard Oil?
With the use of a microfiber towel, or any other soft clean cloth, pat-dry the beard. Avoid rubbing it as friction can cause strands of hair to pull out. Pour a few drops of your chosen Beard Oil into your palm and lightly rub your hands together to create thin spread of the oil. Gently work your hands over and inside the beard, making sure to cover as much area as possible with the oil. Massage the oil into the hair, down to the roots and skin underneath (this will moisturize any dry skin). When the beard is graciously covered from tip to root in beard oil, take a comb or brush and gently start to comb/brush the beard to help with the oil distribution and untangle the hair.
When Should You Apply Beard Oil?
It is more convenient to plan your shower routine and beard oil application around the same time frame. Some folks shower in the morning and others in the evening; others do so at intervals as they argue body oils are not meant to be stripped off daily. However, today is not the day to give grooming lessons, we do advise that you apply beard oil after you are done washing.
Hot water and cheap soap is the recipe for disastrous beards as these two things ensure the hair dries out and is stripped of its natural oils which will in turn cause it to brittle and break. Quality beard oils make sure to combat this by conditioning and softening the facial hair while also helping retain moisture.
When you get home from your outings, you can simply wash your face before bed, then you can apply your beard oil. If you are very active during the day and sweat a lot during your workouts, you will want to apply beard oil after you shower and after every workout. Also, we suggest to simply towel dry, then work in the oil before brushing/combing, as it can help significantly reduce the amount of hair loss as a result of all the pulling.
